SVF 001 – SETTEMBRE 2009

TURNTABLE TESTS – MAY 2010

After some months of tests and a day of hard work, on May 30th 2010, a group of diehard volunteers (Giovanni, Carlo e Mauro) succeeded in unblocking the turntable of the Primolano Locomotive Shed. The turning recalled memories of the golden days of the steam age, where 625 and 740 class engines (the latter uncoupled by the tender) were turned for the trip back either to Venice or Trento. The turntable spins perfectly without hesitation; next step is the aesthetic restoration. The picture shows Giovanni and Carlo during their honour lap, helped by Gian Uberto who enjoys the fun after arriving late.
