Si è svolta il 15 luglio la prima riunione operativa dei soci dell’associazione Società Veneta Ferrovie per la preparazione della locomotiva 880.001 in vista del trasferimento della stessa dall’area dove sorgevano le Officine di Cittadella ad un impianto ferroviario attrezzato.
Sono stati smontati gli accessori di cabina che dovranno essere revisionati, preparato il biellismo per poter spostare la macchina e puntellate le rotaie dove verrà appoggiato il carrello stradale sul quale la locomotiva verrà caricata: la rampa di carico è stata preparata dalla ditta che sta provvedendo alla realizzazione della lottizzazione su cui sorgerà il nuovo centro residenziale e commerciale dove fino a qualche anno fa sorgevano i capannoni delle Officine.
Nelle immagini alcuni momenti della giornata iniziata con il “fresco” alle 7,30: tutti i lavori di trasferimento e ripristino saranno documentati sia con fotografie sia con video.

On July 15th the first operative meeting of Società Veneta Ferrovie, with the goal to prepare engine 880.001 for its moving from the area where once were the Cittadella Workshops to a new railway site with all the required equipment
All the cab devices requiring overhauling were removed, the rods were readied for the engine transfer and the rail ends were reinforced with pillars to hold the locomotive during the loading on the special road truck. The loading incline was done by the same company that is preparing the area for the new housing and commercial center that will be built on the site of the former Cittadella Workshops
The picture shows some snapshots of the working day that began at 7:30 AM to avoid the chocking heat: all the transfer and restoratoin works will be documented with both pictures and videos.
